Shower Seal Manufacturers and Suppliers Compared (2026)

Shower door seals reach buyers through three kinds of company: factories that extrude the profiles, glazing hardware suppliers that sell seals alongside hinges, clamps and handles, and specialist stockists that hold thousands of replacement seals for quick delivery. Which one is “best” depends on who you are and how much you buy.

This page is published by GoldRays, a shower seal manufacturer in Foshan, China. We have kept the comparison factual: every description of another company below comes from that company’s own website or trade-association profile, checked on 8 October 2026.

Factory, hardware supplier or stockist?

Buy from a factory when you order at least a few hundred metres of a profile, want a profile tooled for your own doors, or sell seals under your own brand. You pay the factory price and can specify the compound, colour and packaging. The trade-off is lead time (at GoldRays, 3 to 4 weeks for standard orders) and a minimum order (500 m per model as a guide).

Buy from a glazing hardware supplier when seals are a small part of a hardware order and you need them next week. You pay distributor prices, but you get one invoice and local stock.

Buy from a stockist when you need one or two seals to finish a job or fix a callback, especially for older or discontinued enclosures.

Many glass shops and distributors use two of these at once: a factory for the five or ten profiles they fit every week, and a stockist for the odd one.

What to check with any seal supplier

  1. Test reports for the compound you will receive. Ask for UV-ageing (ASTM G155 xenon-arc) and mould-resistance (ASTM G21 or ISO 846) results, with the lab name and report numbers. GoldRays publishes its SGS reports on its testing page.
  2. The glass thickness and gap range for each profile, not just “fits 8 mm”.
  3. Samples. A good supplier sends free samples so you can trial-fit on your own glass.
  4. Consistency. Ask how the supplier keeps the same compound and dimensions from one batch to the next.
  5. Replacement availability. Enclosures outlive seals; check the profile will still be available in five years.

Frequently asked questions

Who are the biggest shower seal manufacturers? Most shower door seals sold worldwide are extruded in Guangdong, China, by factories such as GoldRays (Foshan) and SIMBA (Zhongshan), and then sold under factory, distributor or enclosure brands. In the US, C.R. Laurence and Frameless Hardware Company are the best-known trade suppliers. In the UK, Shower Seal UK and The Shower Seal Shop are well-known sources of replacement seals.

Where do glass shops buy shower door seals wholesale? Small and urgent orders usually come from a local glazing distributor. Shops that fit the same profiles every week often buy them direct from a factory, which is cheaper per metre. See wholesale shower door seals.

Is a Chinese seal factory reliable? It can be, and the way to check is the same as for any supplier: independent test reports, free samples and a small first order. GoldRays has made shower seals since 2001 and publishes its SGS test results.

Does GoldRays sell to homeowners? No. GoldRays supplies businesses: enclosure brands, distributors, glass shops and importers. Homeowners are best served by a stockist or retailer.
