The function of the magnetic seal strip

The obvious main function point of a shower enclosure is to reduce/stop water going where you don’t want water to go. Yet how do you do that? You need to select a product that has sealing strips between the panel of glasses and between the glass and wall. If not, well your shower room is probably going to get a lot wetter than you intended.

Another point you need to make sure is the sealing strip of the high-quality shower room should not have breakpoints at the hinge. For a better performance the seal between the glass doors should be magnetic.

Another area to be careful of is the glass corners (the weakest part of the glass). Try to choose a product with a sealing strip on the edge of the glass. This is because a sealing strip can help negate the impact force generated by the glass bumping into other objects.

The Material of magnetic door seal

Magnetic door seal strips are mainly made of non-toxic soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and permanent magnet strips.
It is a high temperature and corrosion-resistant sealing plastic strip. this type of seal can also be divided into low temperature resistance seals such as fridges and other high temperature used seals.
Sealing strips in the shower room need to be resistant to high temperature and water. This temperature resistance is mainly determined by the proportions used to make the strip.

The benefits of magnetic sealing strips

When it comes to magnetic door seals, they have the following advantages:
1. Good tensile strength
2. The elongation at break has an advantage
3. Cold resistance
4. Oil resistance
5. Molecular migration: mainly determined by the properties and content of plasticizers.
6. Anti-fungal properties
7. Antibacterial
8. Sealing

If your magnetic seal is correctly installed in your shower door it will be tightly attached to the glass of the shower door, with a magnetic strip on each side to stop all leakage.

  • Clean the glass surface.
  •  Cut off the seal by height.
  •  Install the sealing strip to the appropriate part and press it tightly.

According to the size of your shower seal door, choose the size of the magnetic strip you need and it should fit perfectly into the gaps and joints of the glass shower room.

The advantages of using a magnetic strip seal

Where does the magnetic seal usually appear in the shower room? Generally, the magnetic sealing is used in the waterproof rubber strip of the shower door. Below are some of the advantages of magnetic seals.

Water proof strips

First of all, let’s talk about waterproof strips. At present, most of the raw materials for sealing strips are PVC. Waterproof rubber strips are used for waterproofing and heat insulation of doors and windows.

Our sealing strips meet this requirement with high-quality sealing strips clear color and good flexibility. The reason why magnetic seals stand out is that they use high quality strips combined with magnets leads to a better result. Aka waterproof performance.

Wide range of options

Magnetic seals are available in a wide range of options. Many companies now produce customized magnetic seals including us.This is thanks to all the different types of shower rooms, depending on the type of apartment and style you prefer.

Customer customization

Finally, of course, it is all about customer customization. Because of these needs, it is necessary to meet many types of customization while keeping installation simple. Magnetic strips do not require the use of glass glue. It can be stuck directly on the glass door of the bathroom while being completely waterproof.

Normal strip vs magnetic strip seal

There are many differences between an ordinary and magnetic sealing strip. down below we have listed some of them.

Stability

magnetic sealing strip is more stable than ordinary sealing strips. Ordinary sealing strips need to be installed with glass glue. It is easy to harden and loses its elasticity. The seal changes and the bathroom leaks. The ordinary seals in the bathroom have been soaked for too long and the strips have lost their function. However, the magnetic seal is different, and its magnetic strip can be directly mounted on the bathroom glass. The combination of soft and hard materials makes it more adaptable to the damp environment of the bathroom.

Compression

Magnetic seals are completely different from ordinary strips. It resists being compressed and has stable performance. In the bathroom, the sealed contact surface can be made larger than the normal strip. Therefore, the seal with the magnetic strip can also block the noise brought by the bath while blocking the water. It is more soundproof than ordinary tape. And the insulation function is better for the shower room.
